Dr. Pericot is a clinical psychologist who earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oviedo, Spain. During her doctoral training, she completed additional training at the University of Houston (2012), the Medical University of South Carolina (2013, 2015), and the University at Buffalo (2014). Dr. Pericot specializes in evidence-based interventions for addictive behaviors and anxiety disorders. Her clinical work integrates exposure-based approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, and behavioral strategies to support long-term behavioral change and improve mental health. Additionally, she is currently completing a specialty fellowship under Dr. Anna Baker (clinical psychologist; PhD), in behavioral specialty services (e.g., ERP, ACT, PMT, PE) for OCD, anxiety, and related populations for youth and adults. Dr. Pericot is fluent in English and Spanish and provides treatment in both languages. Dr. Pericot is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Clemson University, where she leads research focused on nicotine and opioid use disorder, health disparities, and innovative treatment approaches. Her work is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse and conducted in collaboration with Clemson University and Prisma Health. She is also a Fellow of the American Psychological Association.
